Vocational courses for students

To equip them for self-employability

HYDERABAD:
The State Institute of Vocational Education, located in the Commissionerate of Intermediate Education, is offering 57 short-term vocational courses for SSC and Intermediate, passed or failed students, said Institute Joint Director K.V.V. Satyanarayana in a release.
The courses are designed to improve skills in the concerned areas and equip them for better wages and self-employability.
Home science
About four to five lakh students who have failed in SSC and Intermediate Public Exams in 2006 could benefit from courses in computer science, engineering, business and commerce, agriculture, home science and humanities. The courses would be three/six-month and one-year duration. The last date for admissions to these courses is November15 for winter module. The courses would be offered throughout the State in short-term vocational institutes, Government and aided junior colleges.
