Case filed under violence Act

KOZHIKODE: In one of the first cases under the new domestic violence Act, a woman has registered a complaint at the Kasaba police station here for alleged torture by her husband. Rukkiya, 33, has complained that she and her four children had been subject to physical and mental torture by her husband, Lateef, for many years. Rukkiya is now under treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital here for injuries allegedly inflicted by Lateef.
