Telugu Desam criticises Rosaiah

Demands white paper on flood relief work

HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party has slammed Finance Minister K. Rosaiah for pooh-poohing party leaders, especially its president N. Chandrababu Naidu, after they went round the flood-hit districts, consoling hundreds of weavers and the homeless.

At a press conference here on Sunday, M.V. Mysoora Reddy, MP, said that such behaviour was unbecoming of a man of his age with vast political experience and having worked with several Chief Ministers. He reminded Mr. Rosaiah that according to the Constitution it was the Government's responsibility to take care of people's welfare.

Mr. Reddy demanded the Government to publish a white paper on the flood relief work in over two and a half years. At another press conference, newly-elected president of the party's weavers' cell Nimmala Kristappa referring to the relief package announced on Saturday by Chief Minister for weavers, said not a single point was new.
