Workshop on animation

Bangalore: Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) and the National Institute of Design (NID) have organised a workshop to highlight crucial issues in contemporary animation culture.

The workshop, "Design strategies for creative animation," will be conducted on NID's research and development campus, off Tumkur Road, from November 10 to November 22. Details can be had from NID on Ph: 23579054. To discuss the need for proper training methods, MAAC organised a seminar here on Thursday, which was addressed by animator and film director Ishu Patel. He spoke on India's role in the growth of the animation industry. He said, "The Indian audience does not want to know about what goes into the making of an animated character. What excite them are the idea and the script. So, one should concentrate more on the pre-production phase."
