CHENNAI: The National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, New Delhi, is sponsoring Backward and Most Backward Class students, through the Tamil Nadu Backward Classes Economic Development Corporation, for joining the production supervision/quality control, pattern cutting and garment construction courses. Eligible candidates in the age group of 18-35, whose annual family income is less than Rs. 55,000 (urban) and Rs. 40,000 (rural), may attend a walk-in interview, scheduled for November 13, at the Apparel Training and Design Centre, Readymade Garment Complex, Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai-600 032. The candidates should attend the interview with original mark sheets, transfer certificates, community certificates, income certificates and three passport size colour photographs and a self-addressed envelope with Rs. 5 stamp. They should also submit photocopies of these documents. The job-oriented courses for both men and women will be of six-month duration. The candidates should have passed Standard X and Plus Two.
