Youths drowned

Thiruvananthapuram: A 19-year-old youth who, along with three friends, had entered into the Sreevaraham temple pond drowned on Sunday evening. He was identified by the police as Sujith, a resident of Pachalloor, Thiruvallam and a student of Hotel Management at an institute at Kowdiar. The body has been kept in the mortuary of Medical College Hospital. In another incident, Deepu, 22, drowned while bathing in a pond at Kollayil, Amaravila on Sunday evening. - Staff Reporter

Succumb to injuries

Thiruvananthapuram: Two persons, who were injured in two separate accidents in the city on Saturday, died at Medical College Hospital on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Francis, 50, a resident of Kottappuram, Vizhinjam, and Madhavan Pillai, 72, a resident of Jagathy. - Staff Reporter
