Corps Day function on November 18

To mark the 226th Corps Day, the Corps of Engineers is organising a function on November 18 at the Madras Engineer Group and Centre officers' mess at 7.30 p.m.

Canara Bank deposit scheme

Canara Bank will launch the `SB Can Champ' deposit scheme for children up to 12 years, on the eve of Children's Day. The aim is to promote the practice of savings and banking among children, and to help them in their pursuit of higher education.

The initial deposit under this scheme is Rs. 100.

The child will be provided with an educational loan eligibility card, which will facilitate the child in availing itself of the loan after completing Class XII.

Yoga programme

Atma Darshan Yogashram will hold asana and pranayama classes from November 13 to 24 between 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bala Vidya (yoga for children) will also be conducted on Sundays from 7 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. The venue is Atma Darshan Yogashram, Dayananda Sagar College Road, Kumaraswamy Layout.

Reiki camp
