BANGALORE: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa here on Sunday called upon artistes, technicians and producers to resolve their differences and work for the betterment of Kannada film industry. At a film awards' presentation function organised by a private Kannada television channel, Mr. Kumaraswamy termed the recent developments in the film industry as unfortunate. Tallam Nanjunda Setty, president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, said he had called the members of Karnataka Chalanachitra Kaarmikara Kalavidara Tantrajnara Okkuta and producers for a meeting on Wednesday. Shivaraj Kumar received the best actor award for his role in Jogi film. Ramya was given the best actress award for her role in Amritadhaare. Ravichandran and Arundhati Nag were given the award for best male and female supporting actors respectively and Aadi Lokesh for the best villain. Aditi won the best child actor award for her role in Mithai Mane. Yashwant Sirdeshpande and Rajendra Karanth were given the best dialogues award for Raama Shaama Bhaama. Parvathammma Rajkumar and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting M.H. Ambareesh spoke.
