AICC delegate to meet PCC office bearers

Puducherry: General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee B.K. Hariprasad MP will hold talks with the PCC office bearers here on Tuesday at the PCC office and would participate in the birth anniversary celebrations of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

The PCC president P. Shanmugham said that the visit of Mr. Hariprasad, who was an observer of the party affairs here, did not carry any significance.

Mr. Hariprasad would also acquaint himself with the current "tug of war" between the newly elected councillors and the government on sharing of powers to manage the local bodies with adequate financial and administrative authority.
