Registration fee hiked for new sugar mills

NEW DELHI: The Central Government has raised the deposit amount to Rs. 1 crore from Rs. 1,000 for filing the application for setting up a new sugar mill. The Food Ministry, in a notification on November 11, raised the deposit amount for Industrial Entrepreneur Memorandum (IEM). Under the latest order, entrepreneurs seeking to establish greenfield mill will have to deposit the performance guarantee money within 30 days
