Open two more ATMs

Open two

more ATMs

The State Bank of India branch at Ramanathapuram is handling a lot of transactions every day.

As a result, the bank is overcrowded always.

Since salary and pension are routed through an Automated Teller Machine, which is available only at one place for the SBI, a long queue of people is seen outside the ATM for their turn.

It is a hardship for senior citizens.

Because of handling a heavy load of government transactions, the branch could not give the expected service to its customers.

I would only appeal to the concerned authorities either to open a full-fledged branch at the Collectorate to handle disbursement of salaries and pensions or to open two ATMs, one at the Collectorate and another on Sikil Raja Street to save the precious time of the customers, public servants and pensioners.

Asmabagh Anvardeen,

Ramanathapuram.

Sivakasi is an industrially developing town with a number of match units, fireworks and printing works.

Most of the workers, pensioners, central and state government employees, merchants, industrialists and others are having ATM facilities with the State Bank of India, Sivakasi.

There is only one ATM counter in the town branch. The ATM cardholders are finding it difficult to withdraw money quickly. They have to wait in a long queue for long because of crowd and sometimes they become mentally disturbed and lose patience.

If one more ATM counter is opened in a suitable and safety zone in Sivakasi, it will be of immense use to customers.

Will the authorities look into this matter?

Examination centre

A Government Higher Secondary School is functioning at Kadaladi.

It was upgraded into a Higher Secondary School in 1997. But, there is no Plus-Two examination centre at Kadaladi.

Students of this school have go to Sayalkudi to write their Plus-Two examinations. Students studying in this school are from remote villages without any bus facility.

Girl students are also facing difficulty to reach Sayalkudi on time. Kadaladi is a taluk headquarters.

Will the officials concerned set up an examination centre at Kadaladi?

V. Rajendran,

Paramakudi.

Ramanathapuram.
