Andhra sitting pretty

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra gained a first innings lead of 113 runs against Kerala in the South Zone under-15 championship held at Madgaon (Goa) on Monday.

Resuming at 36 for five, Kerala was all out for 81 and in the second innings Andhra made 185 for five declared. Kerala, chasing a target of 299, was in dire straits losing three wickets for 27 runs.

The scores: Andhra 194 & 185 for five decl. in 47.4 overs (J. Siva Koteswara Rao 68 n.o., Prem Sagar 54, G. Chiranjeevi 32) vs. Kerala 81 (Y. Jagadeesh Kumar four for 28) & 27 for three. — Sports Reporter
