BJP cautions Centre

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI : Ahead of India-Pakistan Foreign Secretary level talks, the Bharatiya Janata Party has warned the Government not to enter into any agreement on Siachen without the full support and agreement of the three service chiefs who best know the ground situation.

The party reiterated its view that a joint terror mechanism with Pakistan was not viable as there was more and more evidence available globally pointing to Pakistan as the epicentre of terrorism.

Party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said the party had made it clear that it was against holding a dialogue with Pakistan even as terror strikes continue.
