Vijayasree sparkles

VIJAYAWADA: City swimmer G. Vijayasree Gupta set the pool ablaze in the third Masters aquatics championship, which concluded at Thiruvananthapuram on November 12, winning three golds and a silver.

She finished first in the 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke and second in the 50m butterfly. The event was organised by the Swimming Federation of India.

City shooter K. Parthasarathy Naidu has qualified to represent Andhra Pradesh in the peepsight air rifle event in the National shooting championship to be held at Indore (MP) from December 14 to 22.
