NEW DELHI: The Delhi Transport Corporation has made special arrangements for the fortnight-long India International Trade Fare opening in the Capital on Tuesday. Special direct bus services will be provided to Pragati Maidan from various parts of the city. There will be 15 buses from ALT Ghaziabad, 12 from Gurgaon, 10 from Uttam Nagar and five each from Noida, Kalkaji DDA flats, Shahdara, Nand Nagri, Hamdard Nagar, Badarpur Border and Faridabad. The DTC wil also operate 12 additional buses in both plus and minus directions on its Mudrika route to take people to and from Pragati Maidan. Besides, special buses will be made available from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and India Gate "Park and Ride" points. From Nehru Stadium, special buses for Tilak Nagar (Route 588) and Palam Gaon (727) will be operated and from India Gate buses will be available for Jahangirpuri (181), Uttam Nagar (893) and JJ Colony Nangloi (966). To ensure smooth running of traffic on days of maximum rush at the trade fair -- Saturdays, Sundays and holidays -- the buses will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. On other days, they will available from 1 p.m.
