One killed, two hurt as car hits them

BANGALORE: A youth was killed and two girls were injured after a car hit them on Bellary Road in Yelahanka Traffic Police Station limits on Sunday evening.

The police said that the car had hit three pedestrians who were crossing the road near the Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Kendra campus gate around 5.30 p.m. Mallappa (22) of Murugeshapalya, who suffered severe injuries, died on way to hospital. Sridevi (14) and Harshita (10), who were injured, have been hospitalised and they are out of danger. They were students of a school in Jakkur. The driver had abandoned the car and run away, the police said.
