Bangladeshi national shot dead

KOLKATA: A Bangladeshi national, suspected to be a cattle smuggler, was killed when jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) opened fire on a group of men fleeing towards Bangladesh with stolen cattle after crossing the border at Binpur in West Bengal's Dakshin Dinajpur district on Monday night.

Bangladesh Rifles fired four rounds at the Indian side nearly 10 minutes after the incident, according to an official of the BSF's Malda sector.
