Srikakulam : The Standing Committee meeting of the Zilla Praja Parishad has resolved to appeal to the State Government to release required funds for execution of the proposed drinking water schemes in Indiramma villages. The meeting, held here on Monday evening, was presided over by ZP Chairman P. Rajasekhar. Legislators - Naresh Kumar Agarwal, Dharmana Krishna Das and Kondru Murali Mohan - raised the issue and pointed to dearth of funds. The drinking water scheme in M.S. Palli, which required a 4-km pipeline and tap points, was sanctioned just Rs. 5 lakhs. "How can the scheme be completed with it?" Mr. Naresh Kumar questioned.
