Rupee loses further ground


MUMBAI: The rupee on Tuesday fell further against the U.S. currency on increased dollar demand and closed at a 11-session low of 45.17/18 a dollar.

In brisk activity at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 44.95/97 against Monday's close of 44.9850/9950, but thereafter fell to an intra-day low of 45.2100. Later, it closed at 45.17/18. — PTI
