ADILABAD: Adilabad Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar on Tuesday offered employment to orphans coming from rehabilitation homes like the Bala Sadan in town. He said once the inmates attain the age required for the job, they could be recruited as home guards. Disbursing prizes among winners of literary competitions at the Bala Sadan in connection with the Children's Day celebrations, Mr. Anil Kumar assured all possible help in helping the children at the home. The Government has constantly been making efforts to uplift children, he added. Across the district, the Police Department organised various programmes like open houses in police stations in connection with the celebrations.
Fruits distributed
Earlier, the SP distributed fruits among the inmates of Ashajyoti, a home for mentally challenged children, at Ramnagar. Adilabad DSP Tavaria, Project Director, District Women and Child Development Agency, Jyoti and Kalavathi, in charge of Bala Sadan, also participated in the programme.
