DHARWAD: Equal importance to art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture and others has been given at the Dharwad Utsav, Deputy Commissioner M.S. Srikar has said. Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, he said the attempt of the district administration was to encourage all artists. And through the utsav, which was being held after seven years, both young and upcoming artists and senior artists were being given equal opportunity to showcase their talent, he added. The Deputy Commissioner also released brochures containing the paintings of young and senior artists that would be put on display at various art galleries in the twin cities during the three-day district-level festival starting on Friday. To create awareness about the festival, 30-second clippings about Ministers and artists speaking about the utsav had been prepared.
