BANGALORE: The Janata Dal (Secular) and theBJP have decided to field a common candidate for the December 4 byelection from the Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency. The candidate will be from the JD (Secular). After a coordination committee meeting here on Tuesday, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa announced that the two parties had decided to stay together in their fight against the Congress candidate, the former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The BJP and the JD(S) had come close to announcing separate candidates and said they were together only to run the Government.
