Child-friendly police station opened

Seven more stations to be set up across the State


  • Move will pave the way for better ties between children and police: DGP
  • Stations to have a host of facilities for children

    KAVALI (NELLORE Dt.): The first-ever child-friendly police station (Bala Snehita Police Station) in the country was inaugurated by DGP Swaranjit Sen here on Tuesday.

    The DGP said the move would pave the way for better relations between children and the police. Additional DGP D.T. Naik said the police would set up child-friendly police stations across the State. "To begin with, we will first set up police stations at Visakhapatnam, Kothagudem, Vijayawada and four other places in the State and it will be replicated across the State," he said.

    The station, which will house indoor games, comprises a sand stretch, as well as a spacious hall, a jungle gym, swing set, slide sets, see-saw and other play equipment.
