Corrections and Clarifications

A reader points out that in the text of the box item "Centre yet to decide on [Kakinada] refinery, says YSR" (Andhra Pradesh, November 11, 2006), ONGC stands for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, and not Oil and Natural Gas Commission, as was published.

A sentence in the PTI report "Steep fall in rupee" ("Business" page, November 14, 2006), was: "Banks bought the dollar at the current level on behalf of oil companies after crude oil prices surged past $61 a barrel to a two-week high of $16.16 a barrel last Friday ... ." A reader points out that it should have been "... two-week high of $61.16 a barrel last Friday."
