ISCOP chief to attend world meet of organic farming movement

COIMBATORE: The International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM), Bonn, Germany, has invited K.K. Krishnamurthi, President of the Indian Society for Certification of Organic Products (ISCOP), to participate in its World Conference.

IFOAM is the worldwide umbrella organisation of the organic farming movement with 700 member organisations in over 100 countries. It organises meetings and conferences in various worldwide locations. The First IFOAM World Conference on organic certification will be held at the University of Rome, Italy, from November 15 to 17. Mr. Krishnamurthi is being sponsored by IFOAM for this programme.

In addition to being a participant, he would also be a moderator for a technical session. The World Certifying Body of IFOAM has also invited him as a special invitee to attend its forum on November 18.
