Chamber plea to Railway Ministry

Coimbatore: Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, has appealed to the Union Minister of State for Railways to include the Coimbatore - Dindigul gauge conversion project in the Railway Budget for 2007-08.

Memorandum

In a memorandum, the president of the Chamber, D. Balasundaram, had expressed happiness on the decisions of the Railway Minister to take up a number of sectors for gauge conversion.

He also expressed disappointment at the Coimbatore - Dindigul sector being left out "probably by oversight" by the Railway Ministry.
