SBT launches campaign

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Bank of Travancore (SBT) launched the Reserve Bank of India's new theme of financial inclusion in Pathanamthitta at a function at Omalloor Branch.

Assistant General Manager V. Prabhakaran Nair, who inaugurated the function, said that the SBT would take the initiative to open bank accounts, including `No Frill A/cs' with zero balance, for at least one member of each family in the entire district. Lead Bank Officer Mukundan Nair presided.

Assistant general manager, NABARD, Shaji C. Kurup, Omalloor panchayat president Anitha and branch manager of SBT Omalloor N.K. Das were among those who spoke.
