KOLLAM: At a meeting held at the Kollam Bar Association Hall, cheques on motor accidents claims, which were settled through an adalat organised jointly by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Kollam, and the Kollam Divisional office of the Oriental Insurance Company through an adalat in October, were distributed. Minister for Water Resources N.K. Premachandran inaugurated the meeting. N. Bhavadasan, District and Sessions Judge, inaugurated the distribution of cheques by handing over a cheque for Rs.8,00,000 to an accident victim from Kottiyam. In his inaugural address, Mr. Premachandran congratulated the Oriental Insurance Company for coming forward to settle the cases through an adalat.
