Film on Thevar

ALS Production is making a film on nationalist leader Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.

The director of the movie titled `Pasumpon Thevar', Vengai Marbon, says he was ready with the script a year ago.

"It was a cherished dream to do a film on Thevar. I have been conducting research on Thevar and his life for four to five years now. After many persons declined to act as Thevar, I decided to do the role myself," he says.

. S. Ramakrishnan and K. Kalimuthu have written the dialogues, and Chelladurai handles the camera.

Mr. Marbon is the son of K. Kalimuthu, former speaker of the State Legislative Assembly.
