Schoolchildren meet Barnala

CHENNAI: Fiftyseven children of Arcot Shri Mahalakshmi Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Villapakkam in Arcot called on Governor Surjit Singh Barnala on the Children's Day on Tuesday.

According to an official release, the children asked many questions on various subjects during their interaction with the Governor.

Mr. Barnala told the children that they were blessed to be born during this era when India was making rapid progress in the information technology sector. By 2020 India would become one of the best countries in the world, he said.
