CHENNAI: In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during the winter months, the Southern Railway has decided to run weekly special trains from Chennai to Tiruchi and Nagercoil.

An official release said Train No. 0613 Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Special will leave Egmore at 7 p.m. on Mondays from November 20, 2006 to January 22, 2007. It will reach Nagercoil at 8.15 a.m. the next day.

Train No. 0614 Nagercoil-Chennai Egmore will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesdays from November 21, 2006 to January 23, 2007. It will arrive at Egmore at 4.30 a.m. the next day.

Train No. 0678 Tiruchi-Chennai Egmore Special will leave Tiruchi at 9 p.m. on Sundays from November 19 to January 21, 2007. It will arrive at Egmore at 4 a.m. the next day.

Train No. 0677 Chennai Egmore-Tiruchi Speical will leave Egmore at 11.15 p.m. on Wednesdays from November 22, 2006 to January 24, 2007. It will reach Tiruchi at 6.15 a.m. the next day.

Advance reservation for these trains will commence on November 15, the release said.
