MANGALORE: A motorcyclist who sustained serious injuries in a road accident in the Mulki police station limits on Sunday died at Kasturba Medical College Hospital in Manipal on Monday. The victim, Prasad, was a resident of Padil, the police said. He was riding on a motorcycle with his son, Preetham, when it collided with a van. Preetham was also injured in the accident. The Mulky police have registered a case.
Injured
Padmanabha (18), a resident of Irvathuru village in Puttur taluk, was seriously injured in a freak incident involving a licensed firearm, owned by Sibu Varghese. Police said Sibu accidentally pressed the trigger of the revolver while displaying it to his friends. Padmanabha was injured when the gun went off, the police said. The Uppinangady police have registered a case and are investigating.
