Workshop

CHENNAI: The southern India regional council of The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India will conduct a two-day workshop on communication skills. The workshop will cover areas such as resume writing, interview technique, group discussion and presentation skills. The workshop will be held at their premises in Egmore. Training programme

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's Urban Horticulture Development Centre will offer a one-day training programme on preparation of bakery products such as biscuits, cakes, bread, bun, salt biscuits and coconut biscuits. Registration fee is Rs.300. Call: 26263484.

Diabetes camp

Kaplan briefing

Representatives of Kaplan, a provider of training and administration of U.S. Medical Licensure Examination (USMLE — an assessment tool for post graduate study and practice of medicine in the U.S and the U.K.) will conduct a seminar in Chennai on Wednesday. Vaccination camp

The Senior Citizens Bureau will conduct a `flu vaccination camp' in association with Solvay Phatma India Limited on November 18 at Kumaran Hospital, EVR Periyar Salai, Kilpauk. Man held

Police arrested a man here on Tuesday after he damaged the movable properties of a hotel in the Kodambakkam High Road area. Following a complaint, he was picked up, according to Teynampet police. Interrogations revealed that he was a native of Tiruvannamalai district and identified himself as Arul (40). A fan of actor Rajnikanth, he came to see him at his residence in Poes Garden, but as the staff said, the actor was away, he went to a hotel in Kodambakkam High Road. However, when he realised that the actor was not there also, he turned violent. Arul was remanded to judicial custody..
