Lieutenant's portrait unveiled at school

TAMBARAM:
A photo of Lieutenant N. Parthiban, killed in an encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir in October, was unveiled at the Anakaputhur Government Higher Secondary School on Tuesday.
At a function to mark Children's Day, the officer's photo was unveiled by Anakaputhur municipal chairman K. Bharathi in the presence of his father Major (retired) V. Natarajan, mother Thamizh Selvi and younger sister Kaarthiga.
School officials and Parent Teachers Association members said it was their honour to pay respects to the martyr. Association president V. Kumar said it would remind students his supreme sacrifice. Headmaster M. Balasubramanian was present.
