All-party meet sought on land issues

Asks Government to conduct a survey to bring out the details about the extent of lands occupied

HYDERABAD: Communist Party of India (Marxist) State committee has demanded that the Government convene a meeting of political parties and voluntary organisations working on land issues to discuss modalities to be adopted for acquiring assigned lands.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister recently, CPI(M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu lamented that the recommendations made by the high-level committee on land issues had failed to see the light of the day while the Government on its part did not respond to the suggestions on the issue from time-to-time.
