Two killed in accident

HYDERABAD: Two persons died and three others sustained serious injuries in two road accidents that occurred within a gap of 30 minutes at L.B. Nagar rotary a little after Monday midnight.

Residents of Dabeerpura, Mohd. Qursheed Ahmed, Izaz, Jelani and Sarvar Khan, were returning to city from Suryapet and stopped by to take rest when a speeding lorry rammed into them. Ahmed died on the spot. When the police were shifting the injured persons to the adjacent Kamineni hospital, a lorry hit a motorcyclist from behinda few yards away from the rotary. Death was instant for the motorcyclist Anjaneyulu of Guddi Jangaiah colony.

Broker held

The Kalapather police on Tuesday arrested a broker Mansoor, 55, who allegedly helped an old Arab sheikh Al Rehana Ismail Mirza Abdul Jabbar marry two teenaged girls hailing from old city. He disappeared after spending two days with the two brides in a hotel at Abids.
