A sapling each

LITTLE HANDS planting trees, village children joining hands and participating joyously — it was indeed a day of celebrations. Amara Soundarya Vidyalaya recently decided to celebrate Suvarna Rajyotsava by getting the young students to plant saplings at a site at Hesaraghatta. As many as 60 children, between the ages of three and five, got to plant a sapling each. The vidyalaya was started in June 2005 in the memory of actor Soundarya and her brother Amarnath. Chitra V.
