Thiruvananthapuram: The Railway police have arrested Rana Vijay Upadhyaya, 30, a native of Uttar Pradesh, on the charge of stealing the bag of a passenger. According to the police, Upadhyaya was arrested on the charge of stealing the brief case of businessman, identified as Ganesh of Madurai. The police said the bag contained Rs.94,000. Ganesh, noticed his bag missing when the Kollam-Maduraitrain left Thiruvananthapuram Central. He alerted the policem who found Upadhyaya on the platform. The accused was produced before the court and remanded to 14 days in judicial custody.
