Babies found

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two infants were found at the Amma cradle run by the Kerala State Child Welfare Council, here on Tuesday. According to a council official a two-day-old girl was found in the cradle early on Tuesday, while a five-day-old boy was found in the evening. The boy was the 65th infant to be found in the Amma cradle since it was inaugurated on Children's Day in 2002. The girl has been named Kamala, after Kamala Nehru, and the boy, Jawahar. The infants are in a healthy condition.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Thumpa police have arrested a man wanted for the past 10 years in an Explosives Act case. The police identified the accused as Subair (42) of Pound Kadavu colony. He was produced before the court and remanded to 14 days in judicial custody.
