One dies in accident

Thiruvananthapuram: One person was killed and four others were injured in a collision between a car and a private bus near Maamam, Attingal, on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Neethu (18). The injured are Usha (40), Mohan (42) and Rajan (40), all residents of Edappally, Ernakulam. The car driver, Shiyaz (31), has been shifted to a hospital in Ernakulam while others have been admitted in the Medical College Hospital. — Staff Reporter

Workshop

KOCHI: A workshop on community mental health and development will be held here on Friday.

Organised by Action on Disability and Development India and Welfare Services Ernakulam, the workshop aims at sensitising society to increasing incidence of mental illness, particularly the tendency for suicide.
