Samajwadi Party wants threat to Mulayam's life to be taken seriously

LUCKNOW: The Samajwadi Party on Tuesday criticised the Centre for failing to curb terrorist activities, and accused it of endangering the secular character of the country.

Referring to the terrorist threat against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, Samajwadi Party spokesperson Rajendra Chowdhary said anti-national forces considered Mr. Yadav a big impediment to their nefarious plans. Mr. Chowdhary wanted the Central Government to take the threat seriously.

His emphasis on the formation of an India-Pakistan-Bangladesh confederation had annoyed the outfits.
