Alleged criminal arrested
Rajesh Dalal had allegedly been issuing threats to his brother-in-law and other relatives after he broke up with his wife over a dispute. Fearing that he would kill them, they had gone into hiding. It is alleged that recently Rajesh had attacked and injured a police personnel. He is considered to be a very desperate criminal, the police said.
`Drug dealer' held
They said Charanpreet had been arrested by the Narcotics Branch in October 2005 after allegedly being found in possession of 50 gm of cocaine. He was on bail since May this year. A commerce graduate from Delhi University and son of a retired engineer, Charanpreet had worked as an accountant at an electronics showroom in Janakpuri for 11 years. According to the police, he came across an alleged call girl in a discotheque in 2004. She purportedly introduced him to a cocaine supplier from Mumba. According to the police, Charanpreet too was lured into the illicit trade as it offered him an opportunity to make fast and easy money. Following his release in May, Charanpreet allegedly had resumed his illegal activities of supplying cocaine for rave parties.
