Thiruvananthapuram: Justin Gilbert Lopez is basking in the glory of having made it to the Guinness Book of World Records. He has bagged an entry in the Guinness book for possessing the largest collection of coins from most countries. In the process, he shattered a 34-year record established by Sanjay Relan from Hong Kong. An airport employee in Sharjah, Mr. Lopez started collecting coins after he chanced upon several Travancore era coins at the time of demolishing his family house at Poovar near here. The Guinness entry says Mr. Lopez has a collection of 255 coins from as many countries. The collection was built up over a period of 20 years.
Mr. Lopez has held coin exhibitions in the city in 2003 and 2004.
