Lack of escorts: KSLSA to take up issue

BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) will soon take up the issue of lack of escorts for prisoners when they had to be produced in courts, with the State Government.

V. Gopal Gowda, High Court judge and Executive Chairman of the KSLSA, told The Hindu here on Tuesday that the authority had received several complaints from prisoners about the lack of escorts. He said the prisoners had sent their complaints to the authority through the suggestion boxes now being kept in jails. He said the suggestion boxes were placed in jails.
