Film on Thevar made

CHENNAI:
ALS Production is making a film on Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.
The director of the movie titled `Pasumpon Thevar,' Vengai Marbon, says he was ready with the script a year ago.
Research
"It was a cherished dream to do a film on Thevar. I have been conducting research on Thevar and his life for four to five years now. After many persons declined to act as Thevar, I decided to do the role myself," he says.
Mr. Marbon has done a course at London Film Institute and has worked as an associate to `Udirippokkal' J. Mahendran.
The cast includes Manorama, Nasser, Manivannan, Senthil, S.S. Chandran, Radharavi, Sangilimurugan and O.A.K. Sunder. S. Ramakrishnan and K. Kalimuthu have written the dialogues, and Chelladurai handles the camera. Mr. Marbon is the son of K. Kalimuthu, former speaker of the State Legislative Assembly.
