Manoj, Shabaz score triple centuries

HYDERABAD : Triple centuries by B. Manoj Kumar (320 not out, 46x4) and Md Shabaz Tambi (324 not out, 57x4) helped St. Peter's HS trounce St. Phillips HS by 700 runs in the inter-schools (under-13) cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores: Inter-schools (under-13): St. Peter's HS 721 for no loss (B. Manoj Kumar 320 not out, Md. Shabaz Tumbi 324 not out) bt St. Phillips HS 21 (Akram seven for 11).

Chirec Public School 75 (Sai 36, Vinith five for 13, Pranay three for 26) lost to Jubilee Hills Public School 79 for three (Vaibhav 38).

CAL PS 329 for four (Bhargav Rayudu 78, G.V. Vaibhav 48, Yatin Reddy 44 not out, Rahul Singh 33 not out) bt Bhavans HS 55 (Chaitanya Reddy four for eight, Praneeth Reddy three for 18, Abhishek three for 16).

Johnson Grammar School 75 (Sheik Imran three for 24) bt Samaritans HS 62 (S.K.T. Kiriti five for 10, J.S. Srinath five for 10).

Goodwill HS 196 (Badrinarayan Tiwari 73, Shanker 45 not out) bt DRS International School 38 (Badrinarayan Tiwari six for 15, Chandrahas Sahani four for 23).

Seshu triumphs

P.V.V. Seshu, with 7.5 points, won the 14th annual YMCA Tatipalli Gopalakrishna prize money chess tournament here at the end of ninth and final round here.
