Sri Lanka recalls Chamara Silva

COLOMBO: Batsman Chamara Silva was recalled to the Sri Lankan national cricket squad for the first time in more than four years when the selectors named the touring party for its tour of New Zealand on Wednesday.

The Test and limited-overs squads, led by Mahela Jayawardene, include the 26-year-old Silva, while former captain Marvan Atapattu figures only in the one-day squad.

The squads:

Test: Mahela Jayawardene (Capt.), Kumar Sangakkara, Sanath Jayasuriya, Upul Tharanga, Tillekeratne Dilshan, Chamara Kapugedera, Chamara Silva, Prasanna Jayawardene, Farveez Maharoof, Chaminda Vaas, Lasith Malinga, Dilhara Fernando, Akalanka Ganegama and Muttiah Muralitharan.
