NEW DELHI: Indian Navy overcame Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) 7-5 via tiebreaker in the 43rd Nehru hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Wednesday. The regulation period ended 3-3 after Navy had led 2-1 at the breather. S.B. Gorde, A.K. Kiro and Kartar Singh scored for Navy in regulation time while Sunder Singh (two) and Amit Srivastava responded for ONGC. In the tiebreaker, Sajit Lakro, A.K. Kiro, S.B. Gorde and S. Chaudhary scored for Navy. For ONGC, Pramod Kumar and Sundar Singh scored after Amit Srivastava missed. The match stood decided when Arun Rawat missed. In the second match, Western Railway blanked Shahdara Heroes 6-0. Jayesh Jadhav (3), Amarjeet Singh, Hardeep Singh and Shakti Thakur scored.
