BERHAMPUR: The five-day annual music festival organised by Sri Thyagaraja Bhakta Samithi began here on Wednesday amid tremendous enthusiasm among art lovers of Silk City. Manda Sudharani, AIR artist of Visakhapatnam, regaled the audience with a vocal concert. She was assisted by Ch. Sanyasi Rao of Vizianagaram on violin, G. Venkata Rao of Visakhapatnam on mridangam and P. Tirupati Rao of Chandiputaka on morcing. The samithi, which was set up 1947, felicitated its founder-member and honorary president Dr. K.S.N. Rao. Earlier, samithi secretary M.S. Prasada Rao explained the aims and objectives of the samithi. On the valedictory of the five-day festival, Kuchipudi dance will be presented by D. Uma and the troupe with the sponsorship of Potti Sriramulu Telugu University. Samithi president G.K. Sastry, vice-president Jayant Rao, treasurer Y.V. Ramana Murty and others were present
