Global diabetes walk

KOZHIKODE : A global diabetes walk was organised by Malabar Diabetics Foundation and Research Centre (MDFRC), Kerala Blood Donors Forum and Red Cross Wing, MES Women's College, in connection with the 140th anniversary of Kozhikode Corporation and World Diabetes Day here on Tuesday.

North Zone IG M.N. Krishnamurthy flagged off the walk from the Indoor Stadium premises. P.M. Rasheed, managing director, MDFRC, A.V.M. Ashraf, director, MDFRC, and Blood Donors Forum president, Asokan Alaprath led the mass walk.

Later, C.K. Renukadevi, chairperson, Corporation standing committee on welfare, inaugurated the valedictory function of the two-day diabetics awareness meet.
